At Dumfries and District Gliding club we are particularly keen to involve the younger generation, although training in the air is not usually recommended before 14 years of age , we actively involve all ages and have members ranging from 4-76 yrs of age. The benefits of learning to work as part of a team and having adults who have the experience and are willing to pass this knowledge on are invaluable to the sport and to the enjoyment and development of the young mind .  For an overview of the junior gliding movement across the country please use the following link.
